Want to know why our river flows within three-sided concrete? Or where 1,000 pair of shoes/day were made for the Army in WW II? Or learn why Babe Ruth was in North Adams in the 1930s? Or what could have cost 17 million dollars in 1873?
The Hoosic River Revival will be offering guided walks along the Hoosic River on the second Saturday of every month from May to October. The six dates are: May 9, June 13, July 11, August 15, September 12, and October 10.
These walks last approximately one hour. Meet at 11 a.m in North Adams in the parking lot of MASS MoCA; the entrance is on Marshall Street at the lights between River Street and Route 2. Or pick up the self-guided brochure at any of the tourist information outlets in Adams, North Adams, or Williamstown; download it here.
We look forward to sharing the interesting story of our city and the Hoosic River! Call 413.212.2996 for further information.
