We are delighted to have the following people join the HRR Board of Directors:

ELY JANIS
Ely is Dean of Academic Affairs and Professor of History at the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts, where he teaches courses on nineteenth and twentieth century American history, and helps to moderate the online local history app Historic North Adams. Ely’s interest in the Hoosic River is tied to his interest in the local history of North Adams and the historical development of the urban infrastructure of the town and surrounding area.

COLLEEN TAYLOR
Colleen is a 30 year resident of the area and active North Adams entrepreneur, owning and operating three restaurants in the city, all of which are close to the Hoosic River. Colleen is invested in this city and is engaged in making the Hoosic River an asset for both residents and tourists alike; prior to assuming her role on the Board of Directors, Colleen served on HRR’s Advisory Council.
