Before embarking on any modification to the flood chutes, the Corps requires that a City do what is called MODELING. This is an engineer’s way of ‘visualizing’ how high and low water moves through the flood control system, and helps determine the current impact and effectiveness of the chutes. Results from the modelling will form the baseline for any modifications proposed by The Hoosic River Revival. We are pleased to have received 90% of the funding for this from the MA Department of Fish & Game, which considers HRR a State Priority Project.
